Mirror Pond is a trademark of Bend Oregon made famous by the Deschutes Brewery's signature ale. The actual pond is the area of the Deschutes River located in downtown Bend between Galveston Bridge and Newport Bridge, where the river widens as it winds it way past Harmon, Pageant, Drake, and Brooks parks and residential properties.
Mirror Pond is created by the Pacific Power and Light hydroelectric dam that is located just downstream of Newport Avenue Bridge. It has been an identifying feature of the City of Bend since the early 1900s.
Adjacent to Bend's historic downtown, Drake Park is the site of Bend community events throughout the year. As you wander the park's trails you'll enjoy lovely water views and learn about local history from interpretive signs.
